Prasugrel inhibits platelet stimulation of pro-inflammatory T cells in humans

T helper (CD4) cells play a central role in the development of atherosclerosis. Our prior work demonstrated an increase in platelet T-cell interactions in patients with atherosclerosis. We examined the effects of platelet T-cell interactions on T-cell phenotype, and whether these were altered by the antiplatelet agent prasugrel.
